What is the most pressing issue facing the office you are running for and what do you plan to do to solve it?
Equitable solutions to climate change
Please outline two examples of how you are improving your community.
Vision zero:reducing traffic injuries with a focus on people outside of cars through infrastructure. Advocating for land use reform to reduce car dependency and provide more affordable housing.
What would you do in office to benefit and help young people?
I would push for a complete bicycle network in Carlisle, local transit loops, more affordable housing, greater regulation of short term (Air BNBs) and corporate landlords, reducing car dependency, improve sidewalks in disrepair, switching electricity to renewables, and planning and piloting for the replacement of Natural gas. Are a few of the items I am trying to push for.
What is an issue that you are passionate about and why?
Traffic safety and addressing climate change
What is the last book you read or what is your favorite book?
I last read ‘Right of Way’ by angie schmit I highly recomended if for those not familiar with transportation issues, and am just finishing ‘Slow Down’ by Kohei Saito and ‘Traffication’ by Paul Donald
Is there anything else that you would like the Young Democrats to know about you or your campaign?
I hope that we can work together more to push for the things we desperately need like regional transit and smart growth, while acting as a bulwark against the current federal administration. There are an immense number of local issues that can synergistically address problems that the democrats care about, they just require a small amount of courage to stand up to the naysayers.
