What is the most pressing issue facing the office you are running for and what do you plan to do to solve it?
I feel declining business is the most pressing issue in Gettysburg. The solution is getting more people in the business district by encouraging events, increasing tourism, improving housing opportunities, and improving parking.
Please outline two examples of how you are improving your community.
I was the co-chair of the 2025 New Year’s Eve celebration, which brought 2,300 people to the Square, and will do so again this year. I have distributed coats, clothing and shoes to local schools for a number of years. I also have raised money for many local charities.
What would you do in office to benefit and help young people?
Young people in Gettysburg are losing employment opportunities and seeing their hours reduced due to decreasing business. Getting more people into the local business and restaurants means more jobs and more hours for young people.
What is an issue that you are passionate about and why?
I am passionate about helping minority families be safer from the systematic and shameful discrimination which they are currently experiencing in society.
What is the last book you read or what is your favorite book?
The last book i read was, Gettysburg: The Long Encampment.
Is there anything else that you would like the Young Democrats to know about you or your campaign?
I have never run for public office before, so I would appreciate any assistance I can get.
