Info

County: Cumberland
Office: Hampden Township Commissioner
Incumbent: No
Vote For: 3

What is the most pressing issue facing the office you are running for and what do you plan to do to solve it?

Overbuilding of high density rental housing of the last remaining parcels in Hampden has created situation where young family’s can’t purchase starter homes. The resulting overpopulation has increased traffic, overcrowded our schools and is destroying the livability of our community.

Please outline two examples of how you are improving your community.

(1) Since I ran for Hampden Commissioner in 2017, I advocated and secured three walking trails in our community (Technology Blvd, behind Beaumont Square and between Sears run and Indian creek). (2) I procured and rehabilitated hundred of laptop computers for underserved communities. (3) I worked with the Harris campaign and allowed them to use my home as a launch point, over 380 people visited my home (379 needed a bathroom!). Amazingly, Hampden Township and Cumberland County improved on Biden’s numbers from 2020!

What would you do in office to benefit and help young people?

Work with the County to stiffen water run-off rules for new development. Rental properties would need massive retention ponds, while single family starter homes would be allowed to continue with the current requirements

What is an issue that you are passionate about and why?

Walking Trails! I was hit by a car twice in my life, as a 8 YO and in 2015. Our children, or anyone else shouldn’t have to risk their live to visit their friends.

What is the last book you read or what is your favorite book?

Into Thin Air - Last book-.Favorite - The Hunt for Red October.

Is there anything else that you would like the Young Democrats to know about you or your campaign?

My vision is 20/20! I believe the Baby Boomers used their voting clout to change the rules and not pay their fair share as they aged. After they accepted the generosity of past generations, they decided to rip-off future generations by giving themselves tax cuts. Now they’re dying, and leaving their national debt burden to young people. This is unfair! Locally, Hampden was built out without regard to pedestrians or walkability. They crammed as much housing into our community they could so they could brag about not raising taxes in 40 years. No business are abandoning our area and moving to Philadelphia and other places that are more livable.
